Steve is here at his desk streaming live not for himself, but for the users.  He is here to answer any tech question you may have.  He might know the answer, but if he doesn’t, then he is sorry.  You don’t always have to talk about tech but try to stay on topic!  Always remember to be mature.  In addition to viewing him live, you can watch him make his Youtube video’s live right here and participate in the live chat room.  Always act your age and be mature.  Take that as your warning.

If you are going to chat in the room, please change your nickname by doing the following command:

/nick YOURNICKHERE

Basic Rules:  No cursing, No spamming/flooding, No negative/profane nick names, Have fun and be yourself!

Would you like to become a VOICED member in the chat room?

Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 13 years of age.  No exceptions will be made.
  2. You must be an active and helpful community member of #techjohnson
  3. Must have a registered nick name with GreatShark.
  4. You must be signed up at http://techjohnson.com/forum for 7 days.
  5. Flooding and spamming is not permitted at any time.
  6. You are not allowed to use foul language or words considered (censored)
  7. Be nice to all users

What not to do:

  1. Never ask for voice in #techjohnson; only ask how to receive it.
  2. If a full OP or Half OP is dealing with a problem, do not try and help out.  This will only lead in your removal of voice right away.
  3. Never threaten anybody that they will get an OP to kick/ban them from the room.  Bribing is illegal and will not tolerated.

Would you like to become an OP in the chat room?

Requirements:

  1. Must be at least 17 years of age.  Very few exceptions will be made.
  2. Must be voiced for at least 2 months.
  3. Must never have been kicked from the room.
  4. Must be in chat at all times if possible.
  5. Must have a registered nick name with GreatShark.

What not to do:

  1. Never ask for OP in #techjohnson-live; only ask how to receive it.
  2. Don’t ask when you will be approved.  You will get a follow up email with in 7 days of your request.

Guidelines for OP/Voiced users to follow:

  1. Always stay on topic as best as you can during normal day chat.  If Steve is recording videos for youtube, please STAY on topic during the video.  If you see people off topic, please try to get the person back into the topic.
  2. If you are voiced user, please do not go around acting like an OP member of the chatroom.
  3. Just remember that I am able to revoke your OP/VOICED standing at any time of the day.  Please don’t think this is a right, being OP/VOICED is a privilege.
  4. Posting an off topic link with out permission is totally prohibited.  If this happens, you will be kicked as a warning.
  5. Always have a good time while chatting.  Be safe!

  • Write an email for becoming VOICED, saying…

I ________ agree to the rules and regulations and I will follow them in order to keep my status.  I will not disobay you or any other OP.  I know that I hold the key to keeping my status and that I could have my status removed at any given moment

  • Write an email for becoming an OP, saying…

I ________ agree to the rules and regulations to the chat and will follow them to keep my status.  I will not Kick/Ban people for no reason.  I promise to be in the chat as long as I possibly can.  I promise not to remove your OP or any other persons OP.  I will not add anyone to the OP list unless they are already an OP member.  I promise to do my best at remembering the chat commands.  If I do ONE thing out of line, I know that I will lose my OP membership and will be put back on a normal user until you gain my trust back.
