My name is Steven Johnson and I am a 20-year-old geek who loves technology and everything related to it. Before we get into who I am today, let’s back up a few years and give you some of my history.

During the younger years of my childhood, my mother was a graphic artist and always had a computer in the house. The computer we had was not hooked up to the internet and was a huge space hog. The monitor was probably about 40 pounds and the computer “hub” was probably another 20 pounds. This was by no means a powerhouse to today’s standards. Anyway, I always took interest in the machine but never really sat at the computer until I took my first typing class in middle school. Honestly, I blame that typing class for everything. I always would rush home to find myself sitting at the computer, practicing my typing.

Anyway, fast-forward a few years ahead to the day we received our first computer with internet connection. Receiving a Dell Dimension with dial up made me feel like we just hit the lottery. Sitting there for nearly 10-15 minutes with that annoying AOL dial up sound just to check my email and instant message with friends via AOL Instant Messenger. Before I knew it, the internet has taken over my life. To this day, I always wonder what life would be like without the internet.

After about a year or so with this Dell, my mother received a new computer as a gift. Due to that gift, I received the Dell Dimension as a hammy down and that’s where my love for technology really took a turn for the better. Spending countless hours in a chair with my eyes glued to reading blog articles, YouTube videos and always getting in trouble for being up too late. Shortly after receiving the computer is when I started to take a serious interest in graphic design.

Knowing I had love for graphic design work, I decided to take a shot at creating my own website. What do you know, TechJohnson turned out well! Shortly after creating this website for technology blogging, I found my second passion of video creation. This is what changed my life for the better. I found myself talking about technology on YouTube with a low quality camera. After doing it for quite some time, I decided to purchase my first HD camera and that’s when things turned.

After a few years of blogging, creating YouTube videos and doing freelance work for graphic design, I can now sit here and tell you my life is awesome. Not only for the things the internet and technology has done for me but for my growing family. I am now a father to a very handsome son named Zachary Tyler Johnson. My son is what strives me to succeed in life. I consider myself to be a very passionate person with a number of talents.
