The year 2011 has brought some good and bad things with the well known company called Netflix. With a bunch of changes in their pricing and packages, many members gave the company a leave for awhile which many thought would hurt rankings of Netflix. In the recent months, Netflix has been under a lot of heat with the release of Amazon Prime and the Kindle Fire. Even though they have been pressured, this hasn’t stopped Netflix from announcing some truly impressive numbers.
With over 20 million streaming subscribers, Netflix revealed 2 billion hours of consumed content worldwide during Q4 of last year. We aren’t talking about million, we are talking about billion. That’s a HUGE number.
We were thrilled to deliver more than two billion hours of TV shows and movies across 45 countries in the fourth quarter. Netflix delights members by giving them choice, convenience and control over the entertainment they love for an incredibly low price.
Our sources also indicate that coming this February, Netflix users will also get access to big blockbuster films like Drive and Captain America. This hasn’t yet been 100% confirmed but the odds are looking great.
With content streaming become the more preferred means of consuming content, this makes us wonder what this year has in store for us. Will Netflix been known as the world’s largest streaming service with the best price for 2012? If you don’t have a Netflix account, will you be signing up for a subscription? I would highly recommend it!
