Spotify Hits 70,000 Paid U.S. Users After 1 Week

Spotify appears to be in great standings in the US. With the service just releasing a week ago in the US, reports are showing over 70,000 new paid subscribers. That’s a huge amount in just a weeks time!

Before hitting the US, Spotify had 10 million registered users with 1.6 million paying for the premium service. For a music streaming service, these numbers are amazing. If you take into consideration that this company hasn’t been around for very long.

Many companies have reached out to Spotify, including myself and this is the response to the Billboard:

The launch of Spotify in the US has exceeded our expectations in both the response to invitations for the free service as well as subscriptions. We aren’t going to discuss numbers at this stage but we are excited to be here and confident that Americans will love Spotify as much as they already do in Europe.

If you haven’t got into Spotify, please do your best in trying to get an invite. Spotify is simply amazing. It’s definitely the best system out there for streaming music, hands down!
