I’m sure many of you are saying to yourself, “What on Earth is this Synergy Software Mr. TechJohnson is talking about?”  Well have no fear, I’m here to tell you about this awesome/amazing piece of software.  First off, if you don’t know what it is, then you aren’t a “true” geek.  Have you ever wanted to use the same keyboard and the same mouse for two totally different computers?  This piece of software allows you to do just so.  By the way, did I mention that it’s FREE!  Yes, that’s right, free.  If you go to google and type in synergy download, click the first link and download it.  You will not regret it.  There are some slight issues thought with this piece of software.  It tends to slow down your mouse when going on to the computer that your hardware isn’t plugged into.  This isn’t such a big issue though.  Sometimes, it’s a complete pain in the rear to get it set up correctly.  It took me a few tries.  Once I got it, there are still some settings you have to change in order for it to turn on automatically when you turn on your computers.  The great thing about this software is that it’s cross platform.  You can use it on any operating system which is a huge deal for many users out there in the world.  If you have more then one computer and you hate changing between keyboards/mice, I highly recommend that you download this free software!
